Lara C. Hanlon

Dr. Hanlon received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and her medical degree from Geisel, previously Dartmouth, Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire.

She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York. Prior to joining Bedford Commons OB-GYN, Dr. Hanlon was an attending physician at the Gallup Indian Medical Center in New Mexico, and a clinical instructor for Yale University School of Medicine.

Dr. Hanlon is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her clinical areas of interest include high risk obstetrics, adolescent gynecology, laparoscopic surgery, infertility and ultrasound. Dr. Hanlon treasures the opportunity to take care of women through some of the most significant events in their lives.

Dr. Hanlon loves to combine her passion for her job with her love of travel and exposure to other cultures. Over the past several years, she has traveled to provide obstetric and gynecologic care to women in Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Rwanda.

Dr. Hanlon is almost always up for an adventure. In her spare time, she can be found running, hiking, skiing, travelling and most importantly spending her time with her husband and three children. Favorite drink: Chai tea latte. Favorite food: Indian.
